10 Man Blues continue their winning run

Miller grabs a brace
Very hot day, big hard pitch, not the best time to only have 10 players but the boys began on the front foot and spent the first 10 minutes in and around the Laurel Park area. After 13 minutes a lovely move between Fergus and Archie set Tom up to make it 1-0.
The Blues should have pushed on from that point but despite most of the possession they couldn’t find the killer touch to extend their lead which left them open to the risk of a long ball forward but thankfully the three man defense coped pretty well with any danger.
Second half and Morgan took the gloves and we changed formation with Tom and Curtis as wingers leaving Archie as the sole player in attack. The possession and passing improved and the Blues began to exert more pressure on the Laurel Park goal. A miss-hit corner managed to sneak in at the near post off a defender and then a long shot from Miller deceived the keeper to make it 3-0 and the Blues started to relax. A lovely solo goal from Fergus, a fifth from Josh and another long shot from Miller made the game safe.
Maybe not our best performance but considering the hot conditions and only 10 players a fairly decent result.
Man of the Match went to Josh who not only bagged a goal but got through an immense about of work in the midfield.
