The Berkshire Football Awards were set up to celebrate the great and the good in the local non-league game, from the semi-professional clubs down to the hundreds of junior teams, players and volunteers so vital to ensuring the game takes place.

Run by Football in Berkshire, the awards return following two years without a ceremony. The 2022 event will take place at Double-Barrelled Brewery in Reading on Wednesday 15th June from 7pm.

Nominations are now open for all 16 awards that will be up for grabs on the evening, including Player of the Season, Young Player of the Season, Supporter of the Season amongst many others.

This is a great opportunity to recognise and celebrate some of the fantastic talent we have, and it would be great to see some nominations from our club amongst the shortlist (and hopefully winners!)

Nominations will be open until midnight on Tuesday 31st May 2022. Once that date has passed the nominations in each category will be put before a panel of judges for a decision, the top three announced online and the winners at the awards night in June.

You can nominate as many people as you like for an award, with the more detail that can be added to the nomination the better, including stats or any other significant contributions to the footballing community – obviously within the 2021/22 season.

Please note however, that due to difficulties in obtaining permissions under child protection laws, FiB won’t consider any player under the age of 16 for nomination in any of the categories.
