I have been involved on and off as a player for 23 years but recently started my new role last month. I grew up in the village and played for the club pretty much from the moment I could walk, so when the opportunity came up to help the club continually develop, it was a no brainer.

What does your role at the club include?

To implement, oversee, monitor and evaluate the delivery of football coaching within the club and help deliver an effective football strategy for all age groups within the club.

What do you enjoy the most about your role(s) at the club?

I’m really passionate about us continuously improving the level of coaching to provide the best possible environment for all players of all abilities and backgrounds to learn, develop and have fun. It’s also really important to me that we have a clear and successful pathway between the youth teams and the men’s sides and this is something I will be actively working on.

Which football team do you support (apart from Burghfield FC)?

Leeds United

What’s your best football memory?

I’m fortunate to have played for a few academies and semi-pro teams and have won a lot along the way but saving and scoring a penalty in the cup final for Aldershot was pretty decent! Or playing for Watford against Arsenal.

What’s your worst football memory?

Would probably be a recent mistake in a BFC men’s game, but we won’t go into that again...

What did you want to be when you grew up?

Standard answer, but a footballer! Until 16-17 I was playing in and around professional set ups, so I always felt the dream wasn’t too far away!

If you could have one super power what would it be and why?

Think it would have to be the ability to fly. Think how easy it would be to get everywhere, the daily commute would be a lot easier!
