Following the recruitment of several new players this summer, we are pleased to confirm the formation of a fourth Men's Sunday team for next season, alongside those that we have announced previously.

Our newest team will be known as the Sunday B Team, and will compete in the Reading & District Sunday League during the 2020/21 season.

Taking over as manager of the new side will be former player, Alex Mason.

Commenting on his appointment, Alex said: "After playing my first game for Burghfield 25 years ago, it was an easy choice to accept Luke's offer at running the fourth team.

"It's great to be able to take my first steps into management with the support of the Burghfield set up. It really is a great set up - and that is why it attracts so many players."

Joining Alex as Assistant Manager will be Terry Osgood. Embarking on his fifth season with the club, Terry said: "I was surprised to get the call from Luke and be asked to run the team with Alex.

"I know how well run the club is and how well everyone is looked after; very much a family club. I couldn't think of a better place to dip my toe into the management pool. I'm looking forward to working with Alex, Luke and the rest of the team."
