We have received confirmation that BYDL, EBFA and TVPL all plan to return to action in April.

We are pleased to confirm - following updates from BYDL, EBFA and TVPL - that our teams affiliated to these leagues can return to competitive action from early April, in line with the Government easing of lockdown restrictions and the safe return of grassroots football.

Unfortunately, Reading & District Sunday League have notified us that the season has been declared null and void and the 2020/21 league season will not be completed for our men's side that compete in this league.

Last month the FA confirmed that the 2020/21 grassroots season has been extended until the end of June, in order to provide flexibility and time for leagues to complete their fixtures should they wish to do so.

A full update with the information currently available to us is below:

Berkshire Youth Development League (U7, U8, U10, U11 Vipers/Cobras/Pythons)
BYDL have announced that their leagues will resume for all age groups from Saturday 10th April.

East Berks Football Alliance (U9, U11 Lions/Tigers, U12, U13, U14, U15, U16, U17)
EBFA have confirmed that all results from the 2020/21 season have been expunged, but the season will be concluded for all age groups with two group events.

The groups will consist of up to 6 teams, with the first event beginning from Saturday 3rd April and running through to Saturday 1st May.

The second group event will then begin on Saturday 8th May and run until Saturday 5th June.

Thames Valley Premier League (Saturday Men's)
Following a league SGM held with all member clubs on Tuesday (9 March) a decision was made to attempt to complete the season.

The league will resume from Saturday 10th April.

Reading & District Sunday League (Sunday Men's)
R&DSL have confirmed it is their intention to conclude the league season with immediate effect. A decision on the possibility of a subsidiary cup competition is TBC. The management team are currently looking at options to provide some form of football for players over the coming months.

It is also the intention of the club for a return to our full training programme, for all age groups, commencing from 29th March.

Following these league updates and with the imminent return to training, we are currently working on logistics to ensure that venues are available for our return to football. Heads of Age will be in contact to provide specific information to their individual age groups in due course.

The return of competitive grassroots football is fantastic news and we are delighted that players from all age groups will soon be able to return to action.
