Liam Gillis, Under 18 Hurricanes Manager, had this to say about the first half of the season:
"After a tricky start to the season, losing our opening 5 games. The Hurricanes have bounced back to only lose once in the last 5 games, including a very good game against our Under 17 side that finished in a competitive 3-3 draw.
We've had our fair share of big score lines already this season, scoring goals certainly hasn't been an issue for us. A recent change of formation seems to have tightened us up at the back and if we can carry that into the new year, we are hopeful of some more positive results to end this age group's time in youth football on a high."
Keith Curtis, Under 18 Tornadoes Manager, is feeling positive about the second half of the season:
"With a squad of 16 players, and all of them have played 2 or more games we have a bit of strength in depth. The Tornadoes have only played 9 games this season so far, including 2 in the cup, and not yet reached the half way point in our season. But sitting in 5th position with games in hand and a good run of results hopefully we will be challenging for the title."
We look forward to an exciting end to the season for our U18 teams and can't wait to welcome some of the players into the Men's teams next season!
