The Ladies First Team progress in the cup and the Men's First Team returned to the Rec on a packed weekend of action.

The Men’s First Team made their return to the Rec on Saturday, hosting Reading City U23s in TVPL Premier Division. Ollie Brown put us ahead before Ryan Farmer added a second shortly after, but the visitors pulled a goal back before the break and were back level early into the second-half. Elliott Telford was then bought down in the box, with Josh Howell converted the penalty, as we saw the game out to claim a 3-2 victory.

The Men’s Reserves made it consecutive league victories with a 2-1 win away at Twyford & Ruscombe on Saturday afternoon. Stan Simmons and Lorenzo Medford were on the scoresheet as we moved up to third place in the TVPL Division Two table.

Our Men’s Saturday A’s faced SB Phoenix Development away in a thrilling match on Saturday afternoon. Despite goals from Jack Sowden, Dom Lee, Mattie Cook and Will May we were unable to take anything from the game as we suffered a 5-4 defeat.

On Sunday afternoon The Ladies First Team progressed to the quarter finals of the BBFA Women’s Trophy, with a 4-3 victory against Caversham AFC Women at CSA. It was all square at 1-1 at the break, with Holly Cashin on the scoresheet for us, however we found ourselves trailing by two goals early in the second-half. We turned things around with 3 goals in 15 minutes through Rhiannon Mayfield and a second for Holly, before Naomi Paxford put us ahead with the goal that booked our place in the next round.

In Reading Sunday League Division One on Sunday morning our Men's Sunday Reserves faced Englefield Eagles at Theale Rec. Cameron Sweeney gave us an early lead, but we were unable to build on this as it finished all square at 1-1.

The Men's Sunday A's hosted Berkshire Royals at CSA on Sunday morning. A slow start saw us trail by four goals after half hour, but we made a strong start to the second-half and pulled two goals back through Rhys Allen and Elijah Sofidiya-Taylor. The visitors pulled another two back late on though as we suffered a 6-2 defeat.

The Men's Sunday B's travelled to East Park Farm on Sunday morning to face FC Woodley. Sim Justice was on the scoresheet for us as we were beaten 3-1.

Our U18’s were defeated 7-3 at CSA against Woodley United Mohawks in EBFA Division Two on Saturday morning, with the visitors taking control late on after a close opening 75 minutes.

The points were shared as our U17 Bears drew 1-1 away at Maidenhead United Juniors Magpies on Saturday.

Also away on Saturday morning were our U17 Buffalos, who were defeated 4-2 at Eversley & California Youth Lions.

Our U16's hosted AFC Charvil on Saturday, suffering a 3-2 defeat in a close game at Willink.

The U15 Bisons faced Whitegrove & Warfield Eagles on Saturday in EBFA Division Two. Goals from James Chaimbault and Sam Davies put us ahead after 25 minutes, but the hosts turned things around to lead at the break. Two goals in two second-half minutes just after the hour put the game out of reach as we were defeated 5-2.

The U15 Buffalos were away at Wargrave Wolves Reds on Saturday morning. Oliver Miller put us ahead early on before the scores were levelled at the mid-way point of the first-half. Two long-range goals early into the second-half put our hosts ahead, and they added another late on as we suffered a harsh 4-1 defeat.

Our U14 Rangers followed up last week’s victory with a good 2-1 win away at Pangbourne Youth Panthers.

At Willink on Saturday morning our U14 Tridents were beaten 3-0 by Whitegrove & Warfield Vipers.

Our U13 Lions were away at Eldon Celtic in EBFA Division One. We found ourselves four goals behind at the break, but after an improved second-half the game finished in a 4-1 defeat.

The U13 Blues hosted Woodley Saints Leopards on Saturday, securing a convincing 4-0 victory.

Our U13 Vipers were away at Shinfield Rangers Royals, unfortunately suffering a 7-0 defeat.

There was yet another goal-fest for the U13 Tigers on Saturday, as we earned a 9-4 victory over Old Windsor Tigers Reds.

In BYDL, the U13 Pythons defeated Pangbourne Youth Phoenixes 5-0, with Zac Potter, Keaton McKenna (2), Deacon Romeo and Matthew Souden all on the scoresheet, with Ansh Tanguturi putting in a Player of the Match performance.

The U12's shared the points in a 2-2 draw against Binfield Pumas on Saturday morning.

Also in action on Saturday were our U11 Bears, U11 Vipers, U11 Raiders, U10 Titans, U10 Panthers, U10 Jets, U10 Falcons, U9 Lions, U9 Bluebirds, U9 Ice, U8 Tigers, U8 Pumas, U8 Lions, U8 Leopards, U8 Jaguars, U8 Panthers, U7 Tigers and U7 Pumas.
