This weekend saw a reduced youth schedule as the end of the EBFA season approaches and important wins for both our Men's Saturday teams.

The Men’s First Team were back at the Rec on Saturday afternoon, taking on Wraysbury in Thames Valley Premier League. The visitors led by a single goal at half-time, after Lewis Butcher saw a penalty saved by the Wraysbury goalkeeper just before the break. We were level early in the second-half though, as Teo Atik headed in from close range. Lewis Butcher then put us ahead with a fantastic low shot, and then secured the victory late on, reacting quickest to beat the goalkeeper to a loose ball after Rhys Iremonger had struck the bar with a long range effort. The 3-1 victory means we remain at the top of Thames Valley Premier League with four games remaining for us this season.

The Men’s Reserves progressed to the semi-finals of the BTC Intermediate Cup with a good win away at Goring United Reserves. Goals from Kieran Smith and a brace from Adam Bowyer were enough to secure a 3-1 victory and book our place in the last four of the competition.

On Sunday morning our Men’s Sunday Firsts travelled away to face Englefield Eagles in Reading & District Sunday League Senior Division. Two goals from Harvey Beales and another from Ollie Brown made it back-to-back league victories with an excellent 3-0 win.

It was a tough morning for our Sunday Reserves on Sunday as we hosted Give Back FC at the Rec. After a battling first-half performance we found ourselves a goal behind, but the visitors took control after the break as were suffered an 8-0 defeat.

At CSA on Sunday afternoon, the Ladies good form continued with a good victory against Stanford-in-The-Vale Ladies. Goals from Laura Middleton and Nicole Anderson were enough to secure a 2-1 win that saw us move up to second in the TVCWFL Development Division table.

The U15’s finished the season with a third straight win in EBFA Division Six with a 4-2 victory away at Finchampstead Mavericks, thanks to a hat-trick from Jacob Rutland following a first-half opener from Josh Kalro in a game that we controlled throughout.

The U14 Buffalos travelled to Wildridings on Saturday morning to face FC Bracknell Colts. Despite a bright start we went behind against the run of play, before Nick Ardern levelled the scores with 15 minutes played. Bracknell were back in front before the break though and added a third shortly after the restart. A frantic final 15 minutes saw 6 goals go in, with Dejaun Dorgbadzi and Sam Lambourne on the scoresheet for us as we suffered a harsh 7-3 defeat.

Our U13 Lions travelled away to face Wokingham & Embrook Oranges on Saturday morning in EBFA Division Three, earning a fantastic 3-0 win that keeps us in second place in the table.

On Saturday morning our U13 Tridents hosted Maidenhead Boys & Girls Jaguars at Mortimer West End, coming out on top in a tight game with an excellent 2-1 victory.

Our U12 Cobras made the trip to Holyport on Saturday morning to take on FC Holyport Hurricanes in EBFA Division Three. Unfortunately we were unable to take anything from the game as we suffered a 5-3 defeat.

In BYDL on Saturday our U12 Pythons were defeated 5-1 by Westwood Wanderers at Cintra Park.

Also in action on Saturday were our U11’s, U9 White, U9 Green, U9 Red, U8 Ice, U8 Bluebirds, U8 Lions, U7 Lions, U7 Pumas, U7 Panthers, U7 Tigers, U7 Jaguars and U7 Leopards.
