It was a weekend to forget for our senior sides, but a much better one for our youth sides, including a league title for our U13 Rangers.

The Men’s First Team faced Finchampstead in a top of the table TVPL clash at Bohunt School on Saturday afternoon, knowing a victory would have moved us 7 points clear at the top. We went behind from a deflected free-kick, with the hosts adding a second just before the break. Another two quick goals early in the second-half put Finchampstead firmly in control. Lewis Butcher pulled a goal back for us with a fantastic long-range strike but we were unable to find our way back into the game as we suffered a 4-1 defeat.

The Men’s Reserves travelled to The Cauldron in Padworth to take on Reading YMCA Rapids in the final game of the TVPL Division Three season. Unfortunately the hosts took all three points as we were defeated 4-0.

On Sunday morning our Men’s Sunday Firsts were defeated 4-0 away at Reading & District League Senior Division leaders FC Sporty at Whitley Wood Rec.

At the Rec on Sunday morning, our Sunday Reserves hosted Loxwood Park Rangers. Despite falling behind early on we went in level at the break with Dom Lee on the scoresheet for us. The visitors were back in front mid-way through the second-half, but despite a late push we were unable to find an equaliser as we were beaten 2-1.

The Sunday B's faced Royal Albion at CSA on Sunday morning, suffering a 5-2 defeat, with Rhys Allen and Scott Williamson on the scoresheet for us.

The U14 Buffalos faced Woodley Saints Kestrels in a friendly at Berks County Sports Club on Saturday morning. After a goalless first-half we took control after the break, with goals from Nick Ardern, Thomas Whitehouse, Sam Lambourne and Rahul Thomas earning a deserved 4-0 victory.

At Mortimer West End on Saturday morning, our U13 Rangers secured the EBFA Division Four title with an excellent 3-1 victory over Sandhurst Town Boys & Girls Rangers.

In EBFA Division Three, the U12 Cobras hosted Pinewood Polarbears at the Rec, coming out on top in an entertaining game that ended 4-3.

In BYDL on Saturday our U12 Pythons were involced in a goal-fest against Caversham AFC Thundercats at Cintra Park. A Tom Fox hat-trick and another from Harry Adey saw us lead at the break, with Man of the Match Brandon Gilbertson adding a fifth in the second-half as we came out on top with a 5-4 victory.

Also in action on Saturday were our U11’s, U9 White, U9 Green, U8 Ice, U8 Lions, U7 Lions, U7 Pumas, U7 Panthers, U7 Jaguars and U7 Leopards.
