Cup progress for our Saturday and Sunday Firsts, a local derby victory for the Men's Reserves and a return to EBFA league action for our youth sides.

The Men’s First Team faced AFC Reading at Berks County Sports on Saturday in the Berks & Bucks County Cup First Round. It proved to be a comfortable afternoon, with a hat-trick from Lewis Butcher alongside goals from Rhys Iremonger, Josh Cook, Josh Howell, Elliott Telford, Ollie Brown, Jordan Cox and an own goal as we progressed to the next round with a 10-1 victory.

The Men’s Reserves were back at the Rec on Saturday afternoon, hosting Mortimer Development in a TVPL local derby. A first-half hat-trick from Lorenzo Medford gave us a commanding lead at the break, before Jordan Jones added another late on as we secured an excellent 4-0 win.

At CSA on Saturday afternoon our Men’s Saturday A’s suffered a first defeat of the season as we were beaten 6-0 by Berks County Rovers.

The Ladies Reserves travelled away to Kidlington Youth Ladies Development in TVCWFL Development Division on Sunday, unfortunately coming away on the wrong end of a 5-0 scoreline.

On Sunday morning the Men’s Sunday Firsts hosted Tilehurst YM in the Berks & Bucks Sunday Cup First Round. An Ollie Brown hat-trick and goals from Lewis Butcher, Harry Peters and Ryan Farmer saw us into the hat for the next round with a convincing 6-2 victory.

In Reading Sunday League Division One on Sunday morning our Men's Sunday Reserves faced GC United at Woodford Park. Despite goals from Ben Storey and Matt Haines we were unable to find an equaliser as we suffered a 3-2 defeat.

The Men's Sunday A's hosted Reading Kites at CSA on Sunday. After a goalless opening half Tim Spray put us ahead on the hour, before Lloyd Vickers added a second to secure the three points in a 2-0 victory.

The Men's Sunday B's travelled to Sol Joel on Sunday morning to face Farley Hill. We trailed by a goal at the break, but James Skates levelled the scores mid-way through the second-half. Unfortunately we were unable to hold out as our hosts scored two late goals as we suffered a harsh 3-1 defeat.

Our U18’s were defeated 6-4 away at Pinewood Panthers in EBFA Division Two on Saturday morning.

The U17 Bears hosted Centre Skills Gold at CSA on Saturday, moving up to fourth place in the table with an excellent 6-0 victory.

Also at CSA on Saturday morning, the U17 Buffalos were held to a 1-1 draw against Bracknell Cavaliers Colts.

The U15 Bisons hosted Ascot United Raiders at Willink on Saturday lunchtime. Sam Davies put us ahead mid-way through the first-half, before Kaiyon McKenna added a second just before the break. Despite creating numerous chances in the second-half we were unable to add to the score as we earned a deserved 2-0 victory.

The U15 Buffalos were also at Willink on Saturday, taking on Maidenhead Boys & Girls Stingrays. A Sam Roff goal separated the sides at the break, with Rahul Thomas doubling our lead early in the second-half. A fantastic Mac Adufo header shortly after added to the score as we saw the game out to secure a comfortable 3-0 victory.

Our U14 Rangers earned a first win of the season in an entertaining 4-3 victory against Henley Lions at Willink on Saturday morning.

Making the journey to Teddington on Saturday morning were our U14 Tridents, who finished all square at 2-2 away at Hearts of Teddlothian Jaguars.

Our U13 Vipers hosted Hearts of Teddlothian Mavericks at Mortimer West End on Saturday. Nihal Samuel gave us an early lead before the visitors turned things around to lead 4-1 at half-time. Ben Stockwell was on the scoresheet just after the break but the visitors hit back straight away. Ben then added his second of the morning and Harry Adey got us back into the game, but Hearts finished the scoring as it ended in a 6-4 defeat for us.

On Saturday morning our U13 Tigers made the trip to Whitegrove & Warfield Bees, unfortunately finishing on the wrong end of a 7-5 scoreline.

In BYDL, the U13 Pythons good form continued with an emphatic 8-0 victory. A brace each from Deacon Romeo and William Folkard gave us a first-half lead, before Player of the Match Zac Potter added another two after the break. As we approached the final whistle William secured his hat-trick before Matthew Souden completed the scoring in the last minute.

The U12's visited Rotherfield United Tigers on Saturday morning, suffering a 4-1 away defeat.

Also in action on Saturday were our U11 Bears, U11 Vipers, U11 Raiders, U10 Titans, U10 Panthers, U10 Jets, U10 Falcons, U9 Lions, U9 Bluebirds and U9 Ice.
