Weekend Round-Up - 18/19 November 2023

Another weather affected schedule, but plenty of goals across the age groups over the weekend.

Mens
The Saturday Reserves were knocked out of the BTC Intermediate Cup, suffering a 5-3 defeat against AFC Aldermaston Reserves. Our goals came from Mattie Cook and a Kieran Smith brace.

The Sunday Reserves were defeated 2-0 by 116 Exiles in the Tilehurst Charity Cup.

A Michael Swift goal was enough to secure the points for the Sunday A’s with a 1-0 win away at Core FC.

Ladies
Goals from Helen Middleton and Abi Elliott saw the Ladies Reserves come out on top with a 2-1 victory against Stanford-in-the-Vale Women.

Youth
The U17’s suffered a 7-4 defeat against FC Bracknell at Willink.

A late Kaiyon McKenna winner earned a place in the EBFA Cup quarter-finals for the U16 Bisons, with a 2-1 win over Sandhurst Reds. Jack Burns had earlier levelled the scores.

The U16 Buffalos were defeated 3-2 by AFC Reading Spitfires despite goals from Sam Roff and an own-goal.

A good victory for the U14 Lions as they took the points away at Wokingham & Emmbrook Spurs with a 2-0 win.

The U14 Blues suffered a 9-0 defeat against Marlow Youth.

There was also defeat for the U14 Vipers as it finished 5-0 away at Westwood Wanderers Colts.

The U13’s were knocked out of the EBFA Cup with a 3-0 defeat at Sandhurst Rovers.

The U12 Raiders were back to winning ways in emphatic fashion, progressing to the next round of the cup with a 10-0 victory over Pinewood Piranhas,

The U12 Bears came out on top with a 2-0 win over Crowthorne Crows.

Also in EBFA action at the weekend were our U11 Titans, U10 Ice, U10 Bluebirds and U10 Lions.

In BYDL action on Saturday morning were the U11 Panthers, U11 Raptors, U9 Panthers, U9 Jaguars, U8 Tigers, U8 Panthers, U8 Pumas, U7 Wolves, U7 Falcons and U7 Eagles.
