Below is a list of current volunteer committee vacancies that we are looking to fill. Alongside these roles we are also always keen to hear from anybody who is interested in helping make a difference to the local community, and would like to help us continue to grow as a club.

We are keen to take on new committee members who are passionate about the Club and we will support you in the role wherever required. If you do not meet all of the requirements for a specific role please do not let that stop you putting yourself forward.

Child Welfare Assistant
Burghfield FC take our responsibilities very seriously towards operating a safe environment for all of our players, officials and supporters and those of our visiting clubs.

The role of the Child Welfare Assistant will be to help and assist the current Child Welfare Officer, who ensures that the club operates a safe, child friendly environment and promotes good practice in line with the club's Child Protection Policy.

To be successful in the role we would expect the volunteer to meet the below requirements:

  • Experience of dealing with or working with young people
  • Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding children
  • Good communicator in a variety of situations with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to handle confidential information sensitively and with integrity
  • Willingness to attend in-service training facilitated by The FA or the local County FA
  • Attend monthly committee meetings

Sponsorship Officer
The club is looking to fill the vacant committee role of Sponsorship Officer, a vital position that provides essential income for the Club, allowing us to continue to operate and provide a safe environment for all our players, officials, supporters and those of visiting teams.

The Sponsorship Officer will be responsible for raising income by attracting sponsors to the Club, co-ordinating fundraising activities, looking into the potential and applying for grants and any other fundraising opportunities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensure each age group has a kit sponsor.
  • Regularly liaise with existing sponsors, providing them with updates on the age group they sponsor and working to retain their sponsorship once their commitment ends.
  • Attract new sponsors - not just for match day kits, but other items such as training kit and advertising space in the tournament brochure.
  • Identify and suggest other sponsorship opportunities for the Club to pursue.
  • Look into opportunities and apply, where appropriate, for funding and grants.
  • Set up and manage a social committee to arrange fundraising and social events, supported by the main Club committee.
  • Attend monthly committee meetings, providing updates on sponsorship and fundraising.

Events Co-ordinator
We are looking to appoint an Events Co-ordinator to work alongside our Sponsorship Officer to organise Club events.
