Below is a list of current volunteer committee vacancies that we are looking to fill. Alongside these roles we are also always keen to hear from anybody who is interested in helping make a difference to the local community, and would like to help us continue to grow as a club.

We are keen to take on new committee members who are passionate about the Club and we will support you in the role wherever required. If you do not meet all of the requirements for a specific role please do not let that stop you putting yourself forward.

Welfare Officer Assistant
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. But as a Welfare Officer’s assistant you are key, along with the committee, to ensure safeguards are in place at the club.

The role:
With the support of the Club Welfare Officer and the committee, the Welfare Officer’s assistant will:-

  • Be responsible for organising and monitoring compliance of safeguarding training for officials to one Welfare Officer
  • Be responsible for managing and monitoring DBS compliance for all eligible officials to one Welfare Officer

The type of person:
The type of person who makes a good Welfare Officer’s assistant is someone who :-

  • Always puts children’s welfare first
  • Is a good communicator
  • Has a common-sense approach
  • Is willing to learn and seek advice
  • Is over the age of 18

It is essential that a Welfare Officer’s Assistant is approachable, has a child-centred approach and the ability to maintain this perspective when carrying out their role.

The requirement:
The Welfare Officer’s assistant must:-

  • An ‘accepted’ DBS check via The FA CRB unit
  • Complete The FA’s Safeguarding Children course (online)
  • Complete The FA’s Welfare Officer’s course (online)

There is a Welfare Officer code of conduct. Every appointed Welfare Officer’s assistant is required to sign up and adhere to.

Essential

  • Ability to handle confidential information sensitively and with integrity
  • Reasonable level of administration experience and how to deal with confidential documentation
  • Regular access to the internet
  • Adhere to GDPR

Desirable

  • Knowledge and understanding of grassroots football
  • Experience in using IT systems
  • Committed to promoting The FA RESPECT programme

Volunteer Co-ordinator
We are looking for a Volunteer Co-ordinator to help with bringing in and managing volunteers to help out at events, such as the Summer Tournament, May Fayre, or any other events that the club attends.
