Burghfield Football Club are looking for a new volunteer to join our committee in the role of Covid Officer.

The club is looking to fill the role of Covid Officer, following the decision by current Covid Officer, Clare Farmer, to step down from the role. This is a vital position that has been mandated by the FA in their guidance since the restart of grassroots football.

Role Description
The role of the Covid Officer is to remain familiar with the most up-to-date FA guidance and ensure that this is communicated throughout all members of the club.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensure everybody - committee members, coaches, volunteers, parents and players - are aware of the club/Covid-19 protocols.
  • Update risk assessments to show how the club intends to ensure that it's members and activities will operate within the Government guidance.
  • Continually review in light of changing Government guidance.
  • Undertake regular risk assessments of the clubs activities, along with club officials and coaches.
  • Update parental permission forms/checklist.
  • Advise club members with regards to all issues surrounding Covid-19.

If you are interested in helping make a difference to the local community, and would like to take on this vital role within the club, please contact our Club Secretary at Yvonne.Mattos@burghfieldfootballclub.com or get in touch through our social media pages.
