Weekend Round-Up - 11/12 October 2025

Plenty of goals, cup drama and some standout results across the club this weekend.

Mens

The Men’s First Team shared the points in a goalless draw with Goring United.

The Saturday Reserves fell to a narrow 1-0 defeat against Henley Town Development in another closely contested match.

On Sunday, the Firsts battled to a 2-2 draw with Emmer Green thanks to goals from Rhys Iremonger and Zak Chowdhary. The Reserves were also in dramatic form, drawing 4-4 in the Berks & Bucks Sunday Trophy against 116 Exiles Reserves. Goals coming from Ian Jubb (2), Ben Holdstock and Lewis Thorrington, before holding their nerve to win 4-3 on penalties.

There was another entertaining encounter for the Sunday A’s, who drew 3-3 with Barton Rovers A, Jacob Foote continuing his fine form with two goals alongside one from Sam Larkin. The Sunday B’s were beaten 4-1 by Didcot Casuals, Freddie Wardle scoring their only goal.

Ladies

The Ladies First Team impressed again, recording a 5-1 win away at Beaconsfield Town Women Development. Ava Sims and Kiah Owen were both on target, with Isabelle Folkard scoring twice and Hollie Absolom adding the fifth to cap off another confident performance.

Youth

It was another productive weekend for our youth teams, headlined by a superb 3-1 victory for the U18s over Twyford Comets, with goals from Austin Greenhalgh, Luis Alexander and Owen Evans.

The U17 Rangers drew 1-1 with Winnersh Rangers Barbarians, while the U17 Tridents were in fine form, storming to an 8-1 win against Hearts of Teddlothian.

Among the U16s, the Girls secured a strong 2-0 win over Shinfield Rangers, the Tigers shared the points in a 1-1 draw at Pinewood Predators, and the Vipers were involved in a 10-goal thriller drawing 5-5 at Marlow Oaks with braces from James Oxley and Jack Tough, and another from Matthew Souden.

The U15s continued their impressive early-season form with a dominant 10-3 win against Twickenham Tigers Reds.

There were plenty of goals at U14 level too. The Girls claimed a 6-2 away victory at Rotherfield United, while the Colts were narrowly beaten 5-4 by Wargrave Wolves Blacks. The Raiders lost 5-1 to Caversham AFC Pythons, and the Bears went down 3-1 at Wokingham Town Tigers.

At U13 level, the Titans drew 2-2 with Holyport Memorial, the Panthers lost 4-0 to Woodley United Hurricanes, and the Raptors turned on the style in a 7-1 win over Wokingham Town Jaguars. The Warriors also continued their strong form, winning 3-0 against Ashridge Park Royals.

Among the U12s, the Ice were edged out 2-1 by Maidenhead United Rockets, while the Bluebirds impressed once again with a 2-0 win at Hurst Raptors.

Also in action in BYFL over the weekend were the U11 Tornadoes, U11 Hurricanes, U11 Panthers, U11 Typhoons, U10 Tigers, U10 Panthers, U10 Jaguars, U10 Lions, U9 Bolts, U9 Warriors, U9 Bisons, U8 Falcons, U8 Eagles, U8 Hawks, U8 Kites, U7 Vipers, U7 Cobras and U7 Pythons.
