There were victories for all of our senior First Teams, but it was a mixed weekend of results for our sides across the age groups.

The Men’s First Team were away from home again this weekend, facing Reading City U23 at Ibis Club in TVPL Premier Division. A Danny Langford hat-trick and another goal from Tom McClellan helped us claim all the points with a good 4-2 away win.

The Men’s Reserves hosted SB Phoenix Reserves at the Rec on Saturday afternoon in the BTC Intermediate Cup Quarter Final. Luke Stroud’s hat-trick saw us through to a comfortable victory and a place in the semi-finals.

In TVPL Division Four, the Men’s Saturday A’s faced Reading City Lions at Ibis Club on Saturday afternoon. Daniel Ward put us ahead early on, but the hosts turned things around to lead at the break, and added another two goals early in the second-half to put them in command. A late Ben Corbett penalty got us back into the game but it wasn’t enough as we suffered a 4-2 defeat.

On Sunday afternoon the Ladies First Team were in TVCWFL Division 3S action against Hillingdon Abbots Ladies at CSA. Goals from Chloe Sykes and Naomi Paxford saw us leading at half-time, with Nicole Anderson and Carol Checkley on the scoresheet in the second-half as we took the points with an excellent 4-0 victory.

The Ladies Reserves travelled to Sheepcot Rec on Sunday afternoon to face Goring United Women Reserves in TVCWFL Development Division, unfortunately suffering a 1-0 defeat.

Our Men’s Sunday Firsts hosted AFC Bradfield at the Rec on Sunday morning in RDSL Premier Division. Will Vallins and Stan Simmons put us two goals ahead at the break, before Ryan Farmer and Tom Jordan doubled our lead in the second-half as we secured a 4-0 victory in the James Rowe derby.

The Men's Sunday Reserves travelled to Whitley Wood Rec to face 116 Exiles in RDSL Division One. Elijah Sofidiya-Taylor gave us an early lead, before the hosts pulled level shortly afterwards. Vinny Kennedy gave us the lead again before the break, but our hosts turned things around in the second-half as we suffered a 3-2 defeat.

The Men's Sunday A's were at CSA on Sunday morning, hosting AFC Pangbourne in RDSL Division Two. After going behind, we levelled the game when Calum Fraser got on the end of a Tom Sowden free-kick, but the visitors retook the lead before half-time with the balling dropping to their player after a high ball into the box came back off the bar. Despite creating a number of chances we were wasteful in front of goal in the second-half, with the visitors adding a late third on the break as we suffered a disappointing 3-1 defeat.

Our U18’s hosted Caversham Trents Golds at CSA in EBFA Division Two on Saturday morning, sharing the points in an entertaining 4-4 draw.

The U17 Bears travelled away to Twyford Comets Blacks in EBFA Division Two on Saturday, with an excellent 3-0 victory moving us up into scond place in the table.

The U17 Buffalos were also away on Saturday morning, facing Reeves Rangers Blues, with us unfortunately finishing on the wrong end of a 7-0 scoreline.

At Willink on Saturday morning our U16's were in EBFA Plate Quarter Final action facing higher division opposition in Hawley Youth Colts. Our cup run came to an end as we suffered an 8-0 defeat.

Our U15 Buffalos travelled to Darby Green & Potley Youth Dragons in EBFA Division Eight on Saturday morning. Ethan Greenway put us in front mid-way through the opening half with an excellent header, with Sam Roff adding a second late on to secure the points with a deserved 2-0 victory.

On Saturday morning the U14 Rangers made the journey down the M4 to face Windsor Youth Owls in EBFA Division Two, unfortunately suffering a 3-0 defeat.

The U14 Tridents were at the Willink on Saturday morning, taking all three points with an excellent 3-1 victory over Goring Robins Blacks.

Our U13 Lions were in EBFA Cup semi-final action, taking on Marlow Youth on Saturday morning. Despite an excellent cup run we were unable to make it to the final as we suffered a 3-1 defeat.

The U13 Blues were in EBFA Division Two action, hosting Caversham AFC Alleycats on Saturday morning. For the second consecutive week there was a goal-fest that saw the sides share the points in an entertaining 3-3 draw.

In EBFA Division Seven our U13 Tigers earned another three points with a good 1-0 victory against Caversham AFC Wildcats.

The U13 Vipers were in EBFA Division Eight action on Saturday morning, travelling away to Binfield Harriers. Despite second-half goals from Aaron Morris and Samuel Bradford we were unable to take the points as we suffered a 4-2 defeat.

In BYDL on Saturday morning our U13 Pythons faced FC Woodley Zebras Whites at Coley Rec. Goals early in either half from Woodley put them ahead, before Dillon Phillips pulled a goal back late on. Unfortunately it wasn’t enough to take anything from the game as we were defeated 2-1.

The U12's hosted Ashridge Park Royals in EBFA Division Six, unfortunately suffering a 2-1 defeat in a close game at Willink.
