A weather affected weekend saw some cancellations, but there was still plenty of league and cup action across the age groups.

The Men’s Saturday A’s hosted AFC Corinthians at CSA on Saturday afternoon in TVPL Division Four. The game remained goalless until the 10 minutes from time, when Alex Vallins put us ahead with a well taken finish. Unfortunately we conceded a penalty shortly afterwards that allowed the visitors back into the game as the points were shared in a 1-1 draw.

The only match that survived the weather on Sunday saw our Men’s Sunday Firsts face Give Back FC in the Tilehurst Charity Cup Second Round. We controlled large parts of the game before going behind against the run of the play late in the first-half. Our hosts doubled their lead shortly after the break, before Adam Telford pulled a goal back for us with 25 minutes remaining. Despite our continued pressure we were unable to find an equaliser as it ended in an undeserved 2-1 defeat.

Our U18’s were at CSA on Saturday morning, suffering a 3-0 defeat against Finchampstead Rovers in EBFA Division Two.

The U17 Bears continued their good form away at Division One side Barton Rovers in the Second Round of the EBFA Cup. We started with a bang, scoring an early goal with a fine finish from Jack Vincent, before controlling the half and not letting our opponents to gain any momentum. Two more goals in the second-half sealed an impressive display, with Jack sent clear to calmly slot home and a well struck free-kick from Joe Wignall. There was a late consolation goal for our hosts but we progress to the next round with an impressive 3-1 victory.

There was EBFA league action for the U17 Buffalos on Saturday morning, securing a fantastic 5-1 victory away at Finchampstead Panthers,

A brace for Bobby Breakenridge, along with goals from Daniel Mace and Josh Kalro helped the U16's overturn a half-time deficit in the Second Round of the EBFA Plate, as we defeated Finchampstead Flyers 4-1 at Willink.

The U14 Tridents also progressed in the EBFA Plate, with an excellent 6-1 victory against Purley Jubilee Lions.

Our U13 Lions are into the Quarter Finals of the EBFA Cup, following a fantastic 5-1 win over Laurel Park Hurricanes at Mortimer West End on Saturday morning.

The U13 Blues retained their position at the top of EBFA Division Three, securing a 7-2 victory away at Woodley United Tornadoes.

Also in EBFA league action, our U13 Tigers defeated Bracknell Cavaliers Colts 5-2 to move into second place in the Division Seven table.

The U13 Pythons earned an emphatic 11-0 victory as we faced Caversham Trents Whites in BYDL on Saturday morning. Goals from William Folkard, Ansh Tanguturi, Deacon Romeo, Tristan Purser and Sienna Millington put us in command at the break, with a Zac Potter brace, Keaton McKenna hat-trick and a second of the morning for William Folkard securing the win in the second-half.

The U12's travelled away to Harts of Bracknell Blades in the Second Round of the EBFA Plate, suffering a 2-1 defeat in a close game on Saturday morning.
