Following yesterday's update on our new Saturday Management Team, we are now able to confirm full details for our Sunday Management Team for the 2020/21 season.

We are pleased to announce that alongside our existing Sunday First and Reserve Teams, from next season we will have a third men's side, known as the Sunday A Team.

First Team
Stuart Lee will continue in his role as Manager of our Sunday First Team, competing in the Reading & District Sunday League Senior Division. Stuart began as a manager with Burghfield in 2011, taking the U15s side through until they finished youth football, winning the league title in 2014/15. He then took charge of our Sunday Reserves for a year before taking over the First Team the following season.

Stuart will be assisted by Liam Gillis, who is making the move to the First Team after managing our Reserves last season. Having been with the club for a number of years, Liam said: "With the management structure in place and the players we have at our disposal, this feels like a very exciting time for Burghfield FC."

Reserve Team
Matt Heath will be taking over as Manager of our Sunday Reserves, who will again be playing in the Reading & District Sunday League Division 2. Matt joined the club at the beginning of the 2019/20 season as Assistant Manager of our Saturday Reserves, enjoying a great season, with the title within reach and the side still involved in all 3 cup competitions before it was unfortunately cut short.

Continuing in his role as Assistant Manager will be Ian Wise, who has been involved with the club for several years as both a player and coach. Originally a defender, Ian then changed position to goalkeeper, and has been Player/Assistant Manager of the Sunday Reserves for the past two years. Commenting on his role, he said: "I feel we are better placed then ever as a club to push on and take all of our teams to the next level. We have a great bunch of players and it is a pleasure to work with them all."

A Team
Our new men's team will begin their debut season competing in the Reading & District Sunday League Division 4, managed by Ben Corbett. Ben is an FA Level 2 qualified coach and has recently completed a PE and Sports Coaching degree at Chichester University, followed by PE PGCE at Reading University. He played for Burghfield through from U6s to U18s and has been coaching our U12s teams for the past 2 seasons.

James Moring will join our Sunday A Team as Assistant Manager. James played for us for the majority of his youth career, as well as having stints with both Swallowfield and Thatcham Youth. He is an FA Level 2 qualified coach and has previously worked with both our U11 and U12 sides.
